A Rosatom’s marketing office registered in Czech Republic


A marketing office of Rosatom was registered in the Czech Republic to become the fifth one in the global network being created by Rosatom, Rusatom Overseas said on November 22. Earlier, Rosatom’s offices were inaugurated in Ukraine, Singapore, South Africa and Slovakia. The Prague office has been registered as a branch of Rusatom Overseas. Its tasks associate with the Rosatom’s business development in the Czech Republic, in the first place, as regards interaction with Czech nuclear and machine engineering companies. The office will also represent interests of the Russian nuclear industry companies in Chezch Republic and take care of involving local companies into the global network of Rosatom’s vendors in order to implement projects in Russia, Czech Republic and in the third countries.



«The Czech Republic is historically one of our key partners; the Czech experts are familiar with the VVER power units’ design down to the smallest detail, and dozens of Czech companies are specialized in equipment manufacturing under this technology», - noted Djorom Aliev, Director General of Rusatom Oversees CJSC. According to him, Rosatom in interested in developing cooperation with the Czech industry under new projects. One example of such cooperation has been cited by him. It is a construction in Russia of a nuclear power plant with SVBR-100 reactor; 13 Czech companies will become equipment suppliers for it. Moreover the Russia-Czech Consortium MIR.1200 is participating in the bid for construction of power units 3 and 4 for Temelin NPP.
