AKKUYU NUCLEAR JSC PARTICIPATED IN ROSATOM "YOUNG SCIENTISTS CONGRESS" IN SOCHI

December 13, 2021, Sochi, Russia. – 2021 has been declared as the Year of Science and Technology in the Russian Federation. In this context, Russian Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom held "Young Scientists Congress" on 7-9 December in Sochi, Russia, on behalf of the closing of the year. The congress brought together about 200 participants: leaders of youth communities of Rosatom divisions and enterprises, members of the Russian delegation to the International Youth Nuclear Congress 2022 (IYNC 2022), employer brand ambassadors and activists of the New Businesses direction of the Industry Youth Council. Russian Federation President Vladimir Putin and Russian Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom Director General Alexey Likhachev attended the event.

 

AKKUYU NUCLEAR JSC Communications Directorate specialist Okan Yıldız, who will take part in the IYNC'22 both as a panel and workshop manager on "Small Module Reactors", attended the "International Youth Agenda. Preparation for IYNC" section of the event. Participants of the "International Youth Agenda. Preparation for IYNC" section discussed Rosatom's sustainable development agenda and global position with Rosatom Sustainable Development Department Director Polina Lyon and Rosatom International Network Communications Department Director Ayrat Shavaliev. In addition, they took part in several thematic master classes and took the time to prepare for the International Youth Nuclear Congress IYNC 2022.

 

AKKUYU NUCLEAR JSC Communications Directorate specialist Okan Yıldız: “We gathered here to prepare for the Youth Nuclear Congress that will take place in May 2022 with the support of Rosatom. Our colleagues, who had participated in these congresses before, took part and achieved success, guided us. We will attend the IYNC'22 together with AKKUYU NUCLEAR JSC Project Management Directorate Division Head Aleksey Pristai. I am very grateful to the organizers for providing this opportunity to exchange ideas with colleagues who had worked in IYNC organizations in the past years.
