Management Practices

 

 

Within the management aspect (G - governance) AKKUYU NUCLEAR NPP follows the principles and standards of activity of Rosatom State Corporation. The rules and standards of behavior, work performance principles, interactions and communications within the Company and with the concerned parties of the Akkuyu NPP project are determined based on these values.

 

Integrated Management System (IMS) has been implemented at the Company based on the international standards ISO 14001, ISO 9001, ISO 45001, which assist in efficient management of the processes. The Company pays special attention to law enforcement, transparency and provision of access to procurement procedures, stable supply chain, compliance with anti-monopoly requirements and countering corruption.

 

The Company is governed by the Uniform Industry-specific Anti-Corruption Policy, which takes into account the requirements of the Russian and Turkish laws for monitoring the procurements, equally as the prevention of corruption and other abusive activities.

 

The Company also has the Unified Industry Procurement Standard of Rosatom State Corporation, which is based on international and domestic practices in procurements.

 

AKKUYU NUCLEAR JSC In its activity adheres to high ethical standards, established by the Ethics Code of AKKUYU NUCLEAR JSC, and takes into account the priorities of the Republic of Türkiye in energy safety, occupational safety, management of information and other issues.

 

The rules of conduct, contained in the Code concern countering corruption, ensuring the safety of resources, property and information, occupational safety and environment, provision of industrial safety, prevention of conflict situations and settlement of the conflict of interests.

 

 

Supply Chain and Development of Local Industry  

 

 

A working group for localization is in operation for general coordination of the localization works within the Akkuyu NPP project with the participation of the Company's representatives, contractors, JSC REIN and several other stakeholders. Interaction of the members of the Working Group is maintained with the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of Türkiye and the Turkish Standardization Institute.

 

The Regulation for localizing deliveries of materials during the construction of the Akkuyu NPP facilities has been approved in the Company and work on filling the Catalog of localized products is under progress.  Uniform requirements are presented to the procurement participants for ensuring transparency of the procurement procedures and conformance of the procured products to high safety standards, thereby forming a uniform competitive field.
