Musical ‘The Lomonosov’ Scroll’ of the Rosatom’s ‘Nuclear Kids’ Project shown in Moscow


The final shows of the Musical ‘The Lomonosov’ Scroll’ created under the ‘Nuclear Kids’ Project was stages in ‘Et Cetera’ Theater, one of the best metropolitan theater of Moscow, on August 15 and 16.


This year the International Children’s Creativity Project ‘Nuclear Kids’ of Rosatom State Corporation marks the 10th anniversary. Every year children of the nuclear industry please the audience with a new professional show.


This year the show has an unusual format. The director Vladimir Karabanov has invented a quest-show, the characters of which search for a scroll with coded message of the great scientist; if his secret is solved, the people will become kinder.


The Project started on July 06 at the rehearsal facilities in Hungary, and it unites 79 kids of employees of the nuclear industry plants of Russia and foreign partners. This year kids from Belarus, Bangladesh, UK, Hungary, Egypt, India, Kazakhstan, China, Croatia and Turkey took part in the Project. The Russian participants came from 23 cities, where Rosatom presents: Moscow, Saint-Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Nizhniy Novgorod, Chelyabinsk, Krasnoyarsk, Zelenogorsk, Zheleznogorsk, Volgodonsk, Novovoronezh, Kurchatov, Sosnovy Bor, Angarsk and many others. Under the tradition the period to prepare musical is 21 days. The creative group needs less than a month to create an original show.


The official first night of the musical was on August 04 in the theater of the city of Szekszárd (Hungary); then on August 09 the musical was presented in the Russian city of Ozersk and on August 12 – in the city of Snezhinsk.


Darya Kosenkova, who represented Turkey, represents the country in the ‘Nuclear Kids’ Project not for the first time, and it has become a family for her: «I am very glad to be here. Now I have a lot of friends from different countries. Every day we lived all together with dances, music, rehearsals. Sometime it was difficult, but it is fascinating!», - this participant says.

Nuclear Kids is an annual non-commercial international creative project that unites children of nuclear industry employees from Russia and foreign partners of Rosatom State Corporation. The main goals of the project are to enhance friendship links between the children from different countries, to build up the conditions for creative development of talented children, to develop new traditions of cultural interaction. Every year over 70 gifted boys and girls, children of employees of Rosatom companies from all Russia as well as their peers from other countries draw together at the rehearsal facilities and within three weeks they are engaged in staging a professional performance, and then the team will tour with the show over Russian cities and abroad. Well-known stage directors, composers, choreographers, professional pedagogues work with the kids staging shows. Over the period the project exists Lolita Milyavskay, Elena Kiper, Dmitriy Bikbaev, Alexey Frandetti, Vladimir Karabanov and many other professionals worked together with the project. Every year musical has a brand new script and music, which are unique.
