October 28, 2022, Büyükeceli, Mersin Province, Turkey. – Juries of the Akkuyu Nuclear JSC National Children’s Drawing Contest summed up the results and determined the winners.


The contest was held in online format and brought together about 200 participants from all over Turkey. Applications were received from Istanbul, Bolu, Izmir, Manisa, Kayseri, Ankara, Konya and many other provinces.


The juries included AKKUYU NUCLEAR CEO Press Secretary – Communications Director Vasily Korelskiy; Demirören News Agency (DHA) reporter Mustafa Ercan; painting teacher of the Branch of the Pushkin Private International Russian School in Silifke Anna Maslennikova; teacher of Hasan Akel Anadolu Lyceum in Mersin Cigdem Inkaya.


The juries evaluated participants' drawings by the level of technical performance, artistic expression and the relevance to the contest's theme.


AKKUYU NUCLEAR CEO Press Secretary – Communications Director Vasily Korelskiy: "We regularly hold children drawing contests with electricity generation as their theme, and we are happy about the fact that children study the theme and prepare themselves before they draw. One of the contest's main objectives is to spark interest in modern technologies and things around us, and to make Today VS Tomorrow comparison. Choosing the best drawings was all but an easy task. All the drawings deserve particular attention. Children from various Turkish regions participated in the contest, and this year featured a particularly large number of drawings from the Eastern Anatolia, i.e. Sirnak and Siirt. I would like to thank all the participants!"

Demirören News Agency (DHA) reporter Mustafa Ercan, "All participants are very talented – their drawings are expressive, emotional and creative. I particularly noted the colour handling – the children chose very interesting and vivid paints".

Teacher of Hasan Akel Anadolu Lyceum in Mersin Cigdem Inkaya,: "I gladly participated in evaluation of the participants' drawings – such initiatives are crucial for fostering a responsible attitude to the environment among children. Category "4 to 6 years": first place – Zeynep Meva Kaynar, second place – Merdcan Deniz Bayram, third place – Elizaveta Fineeva.


Category "7 to 9 years": first place – Ada Aydemir, second place – Beren Ors, third place – Melek Nil Baskurt.


Category "10 to 12 years": first place – Ulas Susup, second place – Milena Melek Dalan, third place – Viktoria Ostanko.


Category "13 to 16 years": first place –Ivan Kormarchik, second place – Elif Nuran Kara, third place – Taylan Ors.


Special category "The most original drawing". first place – Aisenur Ozdemir, second place – Dilara Karabacak, third place – Rabiye Gul Ozturk.


The winners in each category will soon receive the following gifts from AKKUYU NUCLEAR JSC: tablet computer for the first place, drawing tablet for the second place and professional drawing kit for the third place.
