Russia placed orders with Czech companies in the amount of 100 mln. Euros in 2012

“Rosatom, the Russian State Atomic Energy Corporation, placed orders with Czech companies in 2012 in the amount of 100 mln. Euros”, - said the Rosatom’s Deputy Director General Kirill Komarov at the Forum of the Nuclear Industry Suppliers “AtomEx-Europe”. «Just in the past year Rosatom placed orders with Czech companies in the amount of about 100 mln. Euros, or around 2.6 bln. CZK. Many Czech companies have become our strategic partners. The Russian-design NPPs in Russian, Ukraine, Slovakia, India and China use the equipment manufactured by Czech companies», - noted the Deputy Director General. Komarov remarked that Rosatom was expecting to develop cooperation with Czech Republic. «Now the Russian side as part of the Consortium, led by SKODA Nuclear Manufacturing participates in the tender to complete power units 3 and 4 on the Temelin NPP site. The Consortium has already formed the pool of suppliers for the future NPP. As of today the share of the Czech supplies in the Consortium’s proposal is about 70%. According to our rough estimate this means, that Czech companies will get orders for billions of Euros. At the same time thousands of skilled job opportunities will be created in Czech Republic», - said Kirill Komarov in his speech.
